Erin Austin is a screenwriter and playwright from Tampa, FL. Her work has been produced and staged in New York, Miami, Colorado, and her new home, Chicago.

She’s a 2013 Samuel French OOB finalist. Last year she represented Northwestern University in the National Theatre Master's Festival.  Two of her full length plays have been published and chosen as Backstage.com Critic’s Picks during NYC International Fringe Festivals: Fit (2011) and Finger Paint (2009). Both plays are published with IndieTheatreNow.

Television credits include writing for Green Screen Adventures- a children’s television program that promotes literacy and creative thinking for students nationwide.

A member of the Dramatist Guild and Actor’s Equity Association, she is also a co-founder of the Plastic Flamingo Theatre Company.  She is currently pursuing her M.F.A in Writing for the Screen and Stage at Northwestern University where she also teaches screenwriting.
